Heather's Hues "Happily Ever Lacquered" Collection Part II

Heather's Hues Happily Ever Lacquered Collection

In the words of Cinderella, "So this is love.  So this is what makes life divine."  This collection is love.  This collection is divine.  /End.  *Swoon*.  Today, I bring to you the second half of the "Happily Ever Lacquered" Collection by Heather's Hues.  You can find my review and photos of the first half of the collection here.  And if you are interested in purchasing any of these gorgeous babies you can do so here.  I will provide another link at the bottom of the post.

First up:

Heather's Hues "Let it Go" Happily Ever Lacquered Collection Anna Frozen Inspired

"Let it Go" is a beautiful icy white polish with small white and blue circle glitter and blue and silver bar glitter.  Typically, I am not a huge fan of bar glitter, but this polish would not be complete without it.  I love the winter wonderland look of this shade. Light-box lighting above.

"Let it Go" was inspired by the Disney Princess Anna from the movie Frozen.  For this manicure I started with two coats of Heather's Hues "Let it Go".  I then topped with Vapid Lacquer Top Coat.  For my accent nail I created a water marble using Color Club shades.

For many of the princess polishes in Heather's collection, there are optional glitter add-ins.  For "Let it Go" Heather has the option of including these holo-tastic holographic snowflakes!  I love how the snowflakes really take this polish to the next level.  I think they're a great addition because with them the polish is perfect for Christmas, without them the polish becomes so versatile.

"Let it Go" was very easy to apply and also easy to remove.  I did not have to fish for any glitter and did not do any glitter placement except for the optional glitter add-in that I received on the side.  Also, "Let it Go" was very easy to remove.  The pieces of glitter did not get stuck and the polish did not catch on my nail polish remover pads.

Next up:

"Kiss a Frog?" Heather's Hues Happily Ever Lacquered Collection Princess Tiana Inspired

"Kiss a Frog?" is a glitter packed jelly with large light green circles and assorted smaller pieces of different green shades of glitter.  For this beautiful Princess Tiana inspired polish from the movie The Princess and the Frog, there is also an optional glitter add-in that I will be showing below.  Picture above taken with light box lighting.

For this manicure I started with three coats of "Kiss a Frog?"  by Heather's Hues.  I then applied a coat of Vapid Lacquer Top Coat.  My light box totally devoured the glittery gorgeousness of this polish, and also obliterated my adorable water decal of Princess Tiana and her frog.  But I promise you, if you squint and get real close there is a water decal.  :(

Outside shot in the shade of "Kiss a Frog?"Here you are able to see the beautiful glitter that is in this polish.  For such a glitter packed polish I was shocked at how little fishing I had to do!  I typically store glitter polishes like this upside down to ensure little to no fishing, and when I did that, this polish was fine.  However, I messed up while taking photos and had to redo the whole manicure.  The second time around I did not store my bottle upside down and had to do a bit more fishing, but it was nothing that a few hard shakes couldn't fix.

Macro shot in the light box of "Kiss a Frog?" See!  I promised there was a water decal and there was!  I was so upset that it completely faded in the pictures.  I guess I need to remind myself that green water decals will probably fade on green polish.  Duh.

"Kiss a Frog?" has the amazing option of green daisy glitter add-ins.  Like previously mentioned, I messed up my mani while photographing and had to redo it.  Second time around, I chose to go with two coats, instead of three, of "Kiss a Frog?" and I threw on a coat of Butter London Matte Top Coat before placing the optional glitter add-in and water decals.

Due to the incredible amount of glitter in this polish, I would definitely recommend using a peel off base if you plan on changing your manis frequently.  For such a dense glitter polish, it wasn't terrible, but the entire polish is comprised of glitter and when removing the glitter can get all over your hands.  But who doesn't love a glitter party?

Onwards:

"Part of Your World" Heather's Hues Happily Ever Lacquered Disney Princess Inspired Collection Princess Ariel

"Part of Your World" is another glittery goddess, slam dunk of a polish.  So many weird references in that, but it works.  This Princess Ariel inspired polish is spot on!!  I started with three coats of "Part of Your World" to achieve full opacity.  Two coats would definitely suffice if you like a bit of a sheer look, or an undie with one to two coats would be perfect.  I finished with a coat of Vapid Lacquer Top Coat.

I accented this manicure with an Ariel water decal and charms that I purchased from eBay.  Pictures taken inside a light box.

Macro shot of "Part of your World".  Here you can see the genius that is this polish.  I love the lavender, blue and green pieces of glitter, but I definitely have to say the rare pieces of coral are my favorite.  Out of all the polishes, I definitely think this one is my favorite.  Ariel has always had a special place in my heart as well as the movie The Little Mermaid.

Application of this polish was easy.  There was no fishing or dabbing .  I would definitely recommend a peel off base if you change your manis frequently due to the dense amount of glitter.

Next up:

"Belle of the Ball" Heather's Hues Happily Ever Lacquered Disney Princess Inspired Collection Princess Belle

"Belle of the Ball" is a pale yellow crelly filled with yummy large yellow pieces of glitter and smaller gold micro glitters.  I accented this manicure with an image from stamping plate BM-306 and a water decal I purchased on eBay.

I achieved the rest of this mani by starting with two coats of "Belle of the Ball" inspired by Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast, another childhood favorite of mine.  This polish was unbelievably easy to work with and I did not have to fish what so ever for glitter pieces.  Also, removal was just as easy and nothing snagged on my nail polish remover pads.

What I love most about this entire collection is that, when I looked at "Belle of the Ball" I was instantly reminded of "Once Upon a Dream", which can be found in my previous post on the first half of the collection here.  They're totally different polishes, but they work together, they're cohesive.  It made me look at the rest of the collection as a whole together, and it truly is what it's called, a collection.  Everything works together and plays off of one another.  Obviously, the theme helps to lend to this, and the spot on interpretations Heather created, but this collection really works together.  It reminded me of a fashion collection, and how all the pieces have to work together but stand on their own.

Moseying on along:

"Let Down Your Hair" Heather's Hues Happily Ever Lacquered Disney Princess Inspired Collection Princess Rapunzel

"Let Down Your Hair" is another beautiful glitter bomb with various shades and sizes of purple glitter.  I created this manicure by starting with two layers of "Let Down Your Hair" the Princess Rapunzel from the Disney movie Tangled.  I accented this look with a nail shield I purchased on eBay.  I was going for the whole castle-esque fairy tale look with the nail shield, but am not that happy with the way it turned out.

For this polish I would definitely recommend using a peel off base coat if you change your manis frequently due to the amount of glitter.  However, in terms of application, this polish was a breeze and there was no fishing, or dabbing.  No sinking glitter, and no placement.

"Let Your Hair Down" by Heather's Hues has the adorable purple daisy glitter add-in option pictured above.  In this photo I also moved the nail shield and like the placement a little bit more.  I am definitely going to continue to experiment with nail shields in the future.

Macro shot of "Let Your Hair Down" in the light box with optional purple daisy glitter add-in.  I love this polish with the glitter add-in.  I think that it is such a perfect representation of Rapunzel as well as a beautiful purple glitter polish.

And then there were two:

"My Spirit Flies" Heather's Hues Happily Ever Lacquered Disney Princess Inspired Collection Princess Merida

"My Spirit Flies" is a deep blue jelly with gorgeous gold flecks and glitter pieces.  This Princess Merida Brave Disney inspired polish is stunning!  I love the base color, and the glitter just takes it over the top!!  I am in love with this shade, and am moving this to the number one spot of favorite.

To create this look I started with two coats of "My Spirit Flies".  I then topped it with Vapid Lacquer Top Coat and accented the whole manicure with gold foil.  This polish was a dream to work with because there was no fishing, streaking, or dabbing.  Also, removal was just as easy with no picking.

Macro shot of "My Spirit Flies" in the light box.  *Swooning*. Obsessed doesn't describe how I feel about this base shade!!  I want it as it, without glitter, the glitter alone.  All of this polish and in every other way it can be made!!

 Last, but certainly not least:

"Magic Carpet Ride" Heather's Hues Happily Ever Lacquered Disney Princess Inspired Collection Princess Jasmine

"Magic Carpet Ride" is a delicate teal polish with teal and gold various sized and shaped glitter pieces.  I definitely think this is one of the most versitile polishes from the collection.  They can all, obviously, be used outside of a Princess themed manicure, but this polish just does something to me.  "Magic Carpet Ride" and "My Spirit Flies" are currently battling it out for first place in my heart.

To create this look, I started with two coats of "Magic Carpet Ride".  Application was simple and flawless with no placement and no digging around for glitter.  I then accented this manicure with fimo clay stars and a Princess Jasmine water decal, both of which I purchased from eBay.  I finished with a coat of Vapid Lacquer Top Coat.

Macro shot of "Magic Carpet Ride" the Princess Jasmine inspired polish from the Disney movie  Aladdin.  I love the varied shapes of glitter in this polish, and especially how it looks with the gorgeous teal base shade.

This collection, overall, was beyond a success.  I think that Heather did an amazing job not only capturing the essence of each Disney Princess that each polish represents, but I think that the whole collection is so cohesive and versatile.  I love the formula of the polishes and how easy they all are to apply.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the polishes I have reviewed here on in my previous post on the first half of the "Happily Ever Lacquered" Disney Princess inspired collection, you can find Heather's shop here.

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend!
